Peru Andean Travel Tour 13 Days
Day 01: Arrival To Lima
Upon arrival in Lima: Reception at the airport, assistance and transfer to selected hotel.
In the afternoon, guided sightseeing tour to the most attractive and important sites in Lima, the "City of Kings". The tour includes Lima's Historical Centre, passing by Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and its Religious Art Museum, the Church of Santo Domingo, with the tombs of Santa Rosa and San Martin de Porras, and Lima's Colonial Balconies.
We will visit the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the greatest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America and Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Then we will visit Larco Herrera Museum, for an excellent overview of Peru's ancient past as it holds the best private collection of pre-Columbian art in the country. The museum has many fine examples of textile works, one example of which has a record breaking 398 threads per inch; materials and tools used by ancient Peruvians to produce their work in ceramics and metal; and Pre-Inca and Inca period pottery, gold and silver pieces with semiprecious stones.
And finally we will go to the residential Districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, passing by the Huaca Pucllana, a Ceremonial and Administrative Centre of the Lima Culture built in the II Century A.C. that the Incas considered as "Ñaupallaqta" or Sacred Town.
Return to your selected hotel for overnight.
Day 02: Lima - Ica - Paracas
After breakfast at your hotel you will be taken to the bus station for your trip to Paracas. You will travel approximately 3h30min aboard a comfortable first class bus. Upon arrival in Paracas, you will be taken to your confirmed Paracas and you will have a free afternoon.
Day 03: Paracas / Ballestas Islands / Paracas National Reserve / Nasca
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing on an adventurous boat trip to the Ballestas Islands. Here you can spot sea lions, seals, penguins, guano birds, and turtles (rarely found at this latitude). The boat trip lasts approximately 2 hours.
On the way to the islands, you will also get the opportunity to spot the Candelabra, a 165-foot (50-meter) long sketching in the rock, which experts believe is connected to the Nazca Lines. Debate with your companions whether the Candelabra formation represents a cactus— a symbol of power in the ancient Chavin culture—or perhaps the Southern Cross constellation.
Departure by private car direct to the city of Nasca. Brief stop en route to visit the house and the museum of Dr. Maria Reiche, climb to the tower (the viewpoint of the lines). Arrival to Nasca and the hotel at dusk. Accommodation. Overnight in Nazca.
Day 04: Nasca / The Waterworks / Flight On / Arequipa
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before departing on an adventurous, We’ll head to the nearby Pisco airport to take off on your exciting tour of the Nazca Lines. Built between 500 BC and 500 AD, the Nazca Lines are a World Heritage Site and have been carefully studied for half a century.
Yet, they continue to perplex researchers. Many scientists believe the lines had some astronomical function for the Nazca civilization, although other more colorful theories abound. In the afternoon We will go to board the bus (service aboard cruise attention) to start our trip straight to the city of Arequipa.
Upon arrival in Arequipa. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation and Overnight in Arequipa.
Day 05: Arequipa - City Tour - Santa Catalina Monastery
Breakfast at hotel.
Free morning to rest and acclimate (2,350 m) Light lunch.
In the afternoon Meet your guide at your hotel for your Arequipa tour which will begin with a visit to the city’s beautiful main square. You’ll visit the town hall and the neo-classical Cathedral. You’ll then tour some famous mansions, many of which are intricately decorated with Baroque façades, the Monastery of Santa Catalina (impressive religious buildings, etc.). Outside, the Mill Sabandía the Yanahuara among others.
Overnight in Arequipa.
Day 06: Arequipa / Colca Canyon
Start the day with a filling breakfast at your Arequipa hotel before setting off on a scenic drive to the Colca Canyon, by way of Chivay. This ride takes you through spectacular highland landscapes and is one of the highlights of your journey to the canyon. As the road climbs up to Reserva Nacional de Salinas y Aguada Blanca, keep your eyes open
for wild vicuñas and vizcachas, small rodents similar to rabbits.As you descend from the Patapampa, the highest pass on this journey, you’ll begin to see pre-Inca agricultural terraces as you get close to the town of Chivay.
You’ll be taken to your Colca Canyon hotel and have the afternoon to relax amidst the pastoral beauty or soak in the nearby hot springs.
Day 07: Colca Canyon / The Flight Of The Condor / Puno. By The Trail Of The Volcanoes
Breakfast at the hotel.
05:00 hrs. Departure with private car and guide, traveling parallel to the Colca river watching the depth and beauty. There are traditional villages en route like Achoma, Yanke, Madrigal, etc. Arrive at the Grand Cross viewpoint scheduled time to observe the flight of the Condors. Free time to shoot, enjoy the natural setting and landscape.
Return to the hotel with some stops to take pictures and We will have Lunch in Chivay.
In the afternoon departure by private car directly to Puno. Short stop in Pampa Cañahuas to drink coca tea and use the station toilets. Arrival at the hotel at sunset. Accommodation. Overnight in Puno.
Day 08: Puno / Lake Titicaca / Uros Island / Taquile Island
During your full-day Lake Titicaca tour you will visit two to three of the Islands of Uros. Uros is composed of about 32 islands constructed of many layers of totora reeds - the number changes as they are manmade and after a period of time are abandoned.
Each island is inhabited by islanders who either work in Puno (generally those who live on the islands close to the shore), live in relative isolation (those far from the shoreline), or who use tourism as their main source of income and allow tourists to visit during the day or spend the night.
While visiting the islands, you will be given the chance to learn about the local customs, visit the reed homes, and ride on reed boats. Generally the families inhabiting the island will have a small display of traditional local handicrafts available for sale as well.
Following this exciting tour, you will be led to the Island of Taquile, located about 30 miles from Puno and abundant with numerous pre-Inca and Inca ruins.
The local islanders still maintain many ancient traditions which are reflected in their time-honored clothing and beautiful handicrafts. You will be led around the island to all of the most important sites such as the museum of traditional costumes and the ruins at the highest point of the island where you can catch an incredible sunset.
After the tour, you will return to Puno where you can enjoy a relaxing evening, sampling the delicious Peruvian gastronomy in the many restaurants.
Day 09: Puno/ Cusco
Breakfast at hotel.
After your breakfast We will go to the station to board the Bus Express (tourist service with attention to board) to continue the journey to Cusco. Out 07:15 hrs. Arrive 17:00 hrs. This trip gives the traveler the opportunity to appreciate one of the most beautiful routes in the highlands. Include 4 stops, one for lunch, to visit the pre-Columbian museum of Pucara, the Inca city of Rachi and the church of Andahuaylillas. Arrival in Cusco and the hotel at dusk. Accommodation in your hotel.
Overnight in Cusco.
Day 10: Cusco / City Tour / The Koricancha / Cathedral + 4 Ruins
Breakfast at hotel.
You will have free morning and in the afternoon We will visit the center of the city and then We wil go around the Cusco city.
Between 13:20 and 13:30 pm will begin the guided tour through the city, where you will have the opportunity to visit 6 sites, the first "Qoricancha" (golded place), currently Santo Domingo Convent, a place that keeps Inside one of the most important religious centers of the Inca period, the Cathedral, a place that has religious paintings of the Cusqueña School being in number about 300, among other expressions of art.
Then visit to the surrounding areas of Cusco City, to visit 4 places that have remained intact over the years and have been used by the Incas for different activities; Sacsahuaman (puma’s head) majestic place, with impressive works in stone, been the heaviest 120 tons, carried by workers from remote Inca quarries, a place where the famous Inti Raymi or Festival of the Sun is celebrated every year, Qenqo (laberinth), and finally Pucapucara Tambomachay, place dedicated to the water.
End of the tour and return to the hotel.
Overnight in Cusco.
Day 11: Sacred Valley / Pisac Ruins / Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu (overnight)
Breakfast at hotel.
The tour will start at 8:20am our staff will waiting at reception of your hotel then We will go to board the bus along the Sacred Valley to Pisac ruins until. Beautiful walk through original Inca trails, observing the intact platforms of the Incas. Visit the town of Pisac and its market center. Lunch buffet. The tour Continue to the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo (ex military, religious, administrative and agricultural Inca).
After finishing our visit in Ollantaytambo We will go to board the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (small city near Machupicchu), our staff will be waiting for you at the train station to take you to your hotel.

Day 12: Machu Picchu / Cusco
After breakfast at your hotel you will take a 20-minute bus ride to the hidden temple of the Incas to enjoy a guided tour of the site. Your expert guide will tell you all about Machu Picchu’s fascinating history and legends... The famous lost city of the Incas is one of the most magical and mysterious places on Earth.
Situated on the spine of a jungle-cloaked granite peak towering some 600 metres above an entrenched meandering of the roaring river below, the site is frequently shrouded in misty clouds pierced by the powerful equatorial sun. Constructed from precisely sculptured granite blocks carefully joined with the projecting exposed stone of the surrounding mountain, the site may well be the finest architectural achievement of the new world.
Tour around the archeological site, its craft industry, agriculture, housing, prisons, royal tomb, the temple of the sun, Inti Huatana, sacred place, the fourth of the three windows, the sundial, the gazebo, etc.
In the Afternoon Get the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station then We wil take a car from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
Day 13: Cusco / Lima

The city of Arequipa is located 2.335 meters above sea level the strategic place for acclimatization, so upon arrival, it is recommended not to drink cold, not run and take a coca tea to be tailored to the task. The next day be ready to run in the Andes.
